VANESSA MARTIN
Tribe: Onodaga/ Beaver Clan
Montreal, Quebec
She is a dancer, an artist, a butcher, a baker and a sewer. Most importantly, she is a full time & stay at home mom. It is a true privilege for her to raise her children with the traditional & cultural values that she was able to grow up with.
She is a very proud of being Indigenous & of where she comes from. Having the tools & opportunity to pass on that same pride to her children through the art of modelling is something she finds simply beautiful.
Pursuing & becoming a model, like many young girls, has always been a dream of hers. Being able to showcase her people in such a positive light to the world and neighboring communities to her is the embodiment of resiliency.
She aspires to bring more light and confidence to Indigenous Peoples and to teach her children and the future generations that they can do whatever they put their minds to, no matter the adversities.
Her goal is to cast a beautiful lumination on Indigenous Peoples so that the next generation can feel the same pride as she does.
